As part of the 100-Day Intensified Campaign on TB Elimination, initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, SJVN conducted an Awareness Session & Ni-Kshay Shivir (Screening Camp) at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla.
Senior Officials Support TB Awareness Initiative
The event witnessed the presence of Executive Director (HR), Chandra Shekhar Yadav, along with other senior officials, reaffirming SJVN’s commitment to public health and community well-being.
Focus on TB Prevention Amongst Contractual Workers
The awareness session and screening camp aimed to:
- Educate contractual workers at SJVN’s Corporate Headquarters about TB prevention.
- Emphasize the importance of assessing risks and benefits of latent TB infection treatment.
- Encourage early diagnosis and preventive treatment.
Free Medical Consultation & Treatment for Contractual Staff
A five-member medical team, including Dr. Vineet Lakhanpal, District TB Officer from Shimla, along with a Medical Officer and paramedical staff, conducted screening and consultation sessions. Contractual staff and their families received free medical consultation and treatment during the camp.
SJVN’s Commitment to a TB-Mukt Bharat
Aligning with the National TB Elimination Programme and the vision of TB-Mukt Bharat outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, SJVN conducted a Ni-Kshay Shapath and plans to organize TB Awareness Sessions and Ni-Kshay Shivir (Screening Camps) across its offices and projects in India. Through these initiatives, SJVN reinforces its dedication to public health, ensuring the well-being of its employees and the wider community.
