A fundraise ‘Grand Christmas Carnival 2018‘ was organized in St. Thomas School, Girdharipura premises by the St. Thomas Orthodox Syrian Church Society, which was declared open by Rev. Fr. Biju Daniel in the presence of Trustee P. O. Geevarghese, Secretary Shaji Thomas, Principal Sonal Sharma, Vice Principal P. Mathay,  Coordinator Soye Daniel, Headmistress Nivedita Doegar, Parish members and guests. The Carnival began in the morning at 11.30 a.m. and ended at around 9.00 p.m.

St. Thomas Orthodox Syrian ChurchThere were stalls of eatables and beverages like idly, dosa, vada, sambar, chana bhatura, bhelpuri, aloo tikki, cakes, popcorns, tea, coffee, juice, etc. There were different games stalls including break the pyramid, search the coin in the sand blindfoldedly, search the cola bottle from the  bucket filled with water, light the candle, ring the object, fish and the ball, etc. Trampoline, merry-go-round, Columbus, slide and jumping games were the main attractions for the children.

Different stalls had been put up by the different companies like J. K. Tyres, Muthoot Finance, Bank of Baroda, Extra Marks, Avaas Yojna, Insurance Companies. A free medical checkup camp had been organized by the Fortis Hospital. Children as well as the parents enjoyed the day.

Children of St. Thomas School, Girdharipura, presented a cultural programme which had around 40 performances spread out during the day. Children from other schools also gave song and dance performances. A DJ was present as he played songs on demand. Parents too, along with their kids gave stage performances on the songs of their choice. A band had been invited who played some great music; a baby show had also been organized; and magician Banwarilal stole the hearts of the people with his outstanding magic tricks.
