Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Initiates Relief Efforts For Himachal Calamity Victims

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today flagged off three vehicles with relief material from Raj Bhavan to district Red Cross branches. These relief materials have been sent through the State Red Cross to the branches of Kullu, Hamirpur and Kangra. On the occasion, the Governor said that in view of the natural calamity in the Himachal, the State Red Cross was making efforts to provide relief to the affected families.

He said that sanitation kits, tarpaulins, blankets and tents etc. have been made available in the relief material. He said that the entire state was with the affected families in the hour of disaster and all efforts would be made to provide relief to them. He also urged people to contribute for relief and rehabilitation in these difficult times. Secretary to the Governor, Rajesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
