Governor Shukla Marks Arunachal & Mizoram Day

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over a felicitation ceremony at Lok Bhavan today to mark the foundation day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. During the event, he honoured citizens from these states residing in Himachal Pradesh with traditional Himachali caps and mufflers, while engaging them in discussions about their rich cultural heritage, customs, and traditions.

Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, Chairperson of the State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section, also attended the ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Shukla highlighted that such events strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, fostering fraternity and national unity. He noted that India’s cultural diversity is a source of strength, and exposure to different traditions encourages mutual understanding and stronger inter-state bonds.

Attendees from Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram shared their experiences and expressed appreciation for the recognition and warm hospitality extended to them.
