“Hati Community Urges for Tribal Status, Governor Promises Early Consideration”

A delegation led by President Pradeep Singh Singta made a powerful appeal to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today, urging for the speedy grant of tribal status to the Hati community. With their movement carried out peacefully, the Governor has promised to bring their demand to the authorities for early consideration. In a thrilling turn of events, President Singta shared that the GoI approved the Hati community’s request for tribal status on September 14, 2022, which was then passed by the Lok Sabha on December 18, 2022.

Now, the Manch has urged Governor Shukla to take swift measures in granting this important status to their community. To show their gratitude and respect, the Sirmaur Hati Vikas Manch also presented the Governor with a traditional Dangra weapon and a shawl.
