The 213th meeting of the Board of Directors, Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation Ltd. was held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and gave its nod to release three percent dearness allowance to the employees of the Forest Corporation from 1st January, 2022. The Board of Directors decided to give bonus to the employees of the Corporation for the year 2022-23 which will benefit about 253 employees.
It also gave its approval to regularize the services of the eligible employees of the Corporation, who have completed four years of service as daily wagers. Furthermore, it also decided to grant enhanced daily wage rates to the daily wagers and part-time workers of Forest Corporation with effect from 1st April, 2023. Chief Minister said that the State Government would extend full cooperation to strengthen the Forest Corporation to make it a self-reliant and profitable organization.
He said that 100 Van Mitras will be recruited in Forest Corporation to mitigate the problem of shortage of staff. Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu asked the Forest Corporation to submit a report to address the problems related to the extraction of resin from the pine trees and its transportation outside the State from the private land in order to facilitate the farmers besides enhancing the revenue to the State exchequer. He emphasized the need to incorporate the latest technology in the extraction and processing of forest produce including resin.
He said that the Corporation should digitize its functioning and develop a portal to provide quick information to the people regarding fuel wood, timber, resin and other forest produces available with the Corporation. Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, Vice Chairman, H.P. State Forest Development Corporation Ltd. Kehar Singh Khachi, Secretary Forests Amandeep Garg, Special Secretary Finance Rohit Jamwal, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director Forest Corporation Pavnesh Kumar Sharma, Executive Director Sanjay Sood and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
