Himachal Pradesh Forest Sports and Duty Meet-2024 in Dharamshala

The 25th State Level Himachal Pradesh Forest Sports and Duty Meet-2024 will be held from 29th September to 1st October, 2024, in Dharamshala, as announced by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) Pawnesh Sharma. Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar will inaugurate this significant event.

More than 800 participants from 13 teams, including the Direction Office, Wildlife Wing, all 10 Territorial Circles, and HPSFDC Ltd, will take part in the Meet. The primary goal is to promote unity, sportsmanship, and the well-being of forest officers, employees, and staff. The event will feature team games such as volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, and football, along with individual athletic competitions.

In an exciting new development, under the direction of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, two additional events – trekking and a mini-marathon – will be introduced during the Meet, highlighting the focus on physical endurance and adventure sports. This sports event fosters camaraderie among forest personnel across Himachal Pradesh, encouraging physical fitness and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
