Himachal Pradesh Government Declares Two Local Holidays In Shimla

Stay updated with the latest notification from the Government of Himachal Pradesh regarding local holidays in Shimla. Here are the details of the declared holidays for the convenience of all employees.

In continuation of the previous notification, the Government of Himachal Pradesh has announced two local holidays for all employees working within the municipal limits of Shimla. These holidays are applicable to employees of Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, and Educational Institutions.

Declared Holidays:

  • Maha Ashtami: 11th October 2024 (Friday)
  • Goverdhan Pooja: 2nd November 2024 (Saturday)

Please note that these holidays do not apply to daily wage employees. Furthermore, they are not considered holidays under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
