The two-day celebrations of World Homoeopathy Day 2026 concluded in the national capital with a renewed focus on sustainable and integrative healthcare systems. The event brought together senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush, researchers, medical experts, and representatives of leading homoeopathic institutions to deliberate on clinical advancements, research innovation, and future policy direction.
At the valedictory session, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Alarmelmangai D., highlighted the government’s continued commitment to integrating homoeopathy into mainstream healthcare and promoting accessible, patient-centric medical services.
The convention began with a welcome address by senior officials of the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), followed by detailed presentations summarizing the two-day discussions by heads of major institutions including the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), CCRH, and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH). The event also recognized notable contributors to the field, honoring distinguished practitioners and researchers for their work in advancing homoeopathic science.
Held at Vigyan Bhawan under the theme “Homoeopathy for Sustainable Health” and “Infinite Possibilities,” the convention featured multiple technical sessions covering ethics, clinical research, drug development, and integrative healthcare approaches.
On Day 1, discussions focused on professional ethics, clinical excellence, and emerging areas of practice. Experts presented evidence-based case studies on complex diseases and explored new applications such as pediatric homoeopathy and agro-homoeopathy. A multidisciplinary session also examined the integration of homoeopathy with conventional medical systems for improved patient outcomes.
On Day 2, attention shifted toward policy frameworks, regulatory standards, and global strategies. Key discussions included strengthening public health systems, improving drug standardization, enhancing pharmacovigilance, and expanding the National Register of Homoeopathy. Experts also discussed homoeopathy’s role in the WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy and its potential applications in veterinary care.
The convention concluded with a roadmap for future development of the sector, emphasizing research expansion, capacity building, and institutional collaboration. The Ministry of Ayush reiterated its vision of positioning homoeopathy as an important pillar of sustainable and integrative healthcare in India.
