The Himachal Pradesh government is set to upgrade all health institutions across the state with world-class diagnostic equipment, announced Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil. He was chairing the 5th Board Meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation Limited held in Shimla today.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare system, the Minister emphasized the need to ensure timely and high-quality medical services for the citizens. He said that the state would soon procure advanced, high-tech diagnostic machines to enhance patient care across government health facilities.
Dr. Shandil directed officials to accelerate the procurement process for essential medical machinery and equipment for various hospitals and healthcare centers in the state.
The Minister also appreciated the efforts of the Corporation for maintaining transparency and efficiency in procurement, particularly in the supply of quality medicines, equipment, and medical consumables. He noted that these efforts have played a vital role in reinforcing the state’s medical infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by Divyanshu Singal, Managing Director of the Corporation, who conducted the proceedings. Also present were Secretary Health M. Sudha Devi, Special Secretary Finance Vijay Wardhan, Director of Medical Education Dr. Rakesh Sharma, and Director of Health Services Dr. Gopal Beri.
