Industry Minister  Harshwardhan Chauhan said the government has identified Green Mobility, Defence Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Dairy, Food Processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electronic Chips, and Data Centres as priority areas to accelerate industrialization.

The State’s long-term strategy focuses on sustainable development, employment generation, and technological self-reliance alongside industrial growth. Highlighting green mobility, the Minister emphasized investments in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and allied components to create jobs while protecting the environment, reinforcing Himachal Pradesh’s vision of a Green Industrial Hub.

Chauhan also underlined the significance of AI, electronic chips, and data centres, noting that these sectors will provide Himachal Pradesh with a distinct identity on the Digital India map and generate high-skilled employment opportunities for youth.
