HPKVN Signs MoUs

Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) has recently signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) to provide skill training programs for the youth of Himachal Pradesh. This initiative is aimed at enhancing candidates’ skills and knowledge and meeting the current industry demand for skilled workers.

MoUs Signed in the Presence of Worthy Secretary Technical Education

The MoUs were signed by the Managing Director of HPKVN, Jatin Lal, in the presence of Dr. Abhishek Jain, Worthy Secretary Technical Education, and representatives of the Asian Development Bank and the SSCs.

Comprehensive Training Programs Tailored to Industry Demand (HPKVN Signs MoUs With Multiple Sector Skill Councils)

Under these MoUs, HPKVN will provide comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of different sectors. The training will include technical and soft skills, and will be conducted by qualified trainers using a variety of methods, including classroom sessions, online courses, and on-the-job training.

Training Programs Offered by Different SSCs

The Aero Space SSC will offer training programs for Airline Customer Service Executive, Airline Cabin Crew, and Airline Reservation Agent. The Power Sector SSC will offer training for V Charging Station-Technician Operation & Maintenance and Industrial Electrician. The Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council will offer training programs for Facility Management Executive, Bartender, Counter Sales Executive in Tourism and Hospitality, and Commis Chef.

The Rubber, Chemical Petrochemical Skill Development Council will provide training for Machine Operator – Stretch Blow Moulding Plastic and Assistant Operator- Material Handling and Storage. The Apparel Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMH-SSC) will offer training for Fabric Checker, Sewing Machine Operator (Knits), Specialized Sewing Machine Operator, and Self Employed Tailor.

Target Number of Candidates to be Trained

The target number of candidates for each training program varies. For Aero Space SSC, 400 candidates will be trained. For Power Sector SSC, 250 candidates will be trained. For Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, 850 candidates will be trained. For Rubber, Chemical Petrochemical Skill Development Council, the training will be provided to an unspecified number of candidates. For Apparel Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, 600 candidates will be trained.

Enrolment Details to be Communicated in Due Course

HPKVN aims to benefit the youth of Himachal Pradesh through this initiative and enhance their employability. Further details about the training program, including the schedule, duration, and enrolment process, will be communicated through HPKVN’s website and leading newspapers in due course.
