The Himachal Pradesh government has revoked its previous notifications regarding the room tariff for HPPWD Rest Houses in the state. The earlier notifications, issued on September 30, 2022, and June 28, 2023, had introduced a flat rate of Rs. 1000/- for online room bookings by tourists and private individuals.
Return to Original Tariff:
This decision effectively reinstates the original tariff structure outlined in the GAD Notification No. GAD-D(G)6-1/2019-L dated June 30, 2023. Under this notification, the room rates for HPPWD Rest Houses across Himachal Pradesh are as follows:
- Himachal Pradesh Residents: Rs. 500/- per room
- Non-Himachal Pradesh Residents: Rs. 1000/- per room
Applicable to All Bookings:
Importantly, these rates will apply uniformly to all room bookings, regardless of whether they are made online or offline.
Immediate Effect:
This change in policy is effective immediately.
