In line with the Government of India’s ambitious ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, a special awareness program was organized today for the sanitation staff of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. Senior officials from the main branch of the State Bank of India, Shimla, participated in the event, providing detailed information about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Life Insurance, and Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana at 4:00 PM. These schemes are designed for the general public and aim to provide broad social security.

The event was moderated by Mr. Prem Chand, the Librarian of the Institute, and conducted under the guidance of the Institute’s Secretary, Mr. Mehar Chand Negi. Mr. Negi stated, “Programs like these not only make our employees aware of their financial rights but also guide them towards a secure and prosperous future.”

The program was an enlightening experience for all participants. Representatives from the bank not only shed light on the technical aspects of the schemes but also explained their importance and benefits in a simple and effective manner.

The Indian Institute of Advanced Study will continue to organize such useful and meaningful programs in the future, which are necessary to empower the members of its community. Through these initiatives, the Institute strives to enhance financial awareness and security among its employees and scholars.
