IIFT Leads India’s B-Schools in 2026 Ranking

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has secured the first position in the Times B-School Ranking 2026, reaffirming its status as a premier management institution with a distinctive focus on international trade and global business. The autonomous institute, operating under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has campuses in Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada, and GIFT City, and is set to open its first offshore campus in Dubai.

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal, congratulated IIFT on its achievement, highlighting the Institute’s role in empowering students with skills, vision, and critical capabilities for global trade leadership. He noted that IIFT is instrumental in shaping future leaders and enhancing India’s presence on the global trade stage.

Commerce Secretary and IIFT Chancellor Rajesh Agrawal expressed satisfaction over the recognition, stating that the ranking reflects IIFT’s strong academic foundation, expanding global orientation, and commitment to excellence. He emphasized that the Institute supports India’s ambition to emerge as a global powerhouse in international trade and contributes to the vision of Viksit Bharat by nurturing globally competent management professionals aligned with national economic priorities.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi thanked the Ministry for its support and reaffirmed IIFT’s commitment to achieving excellence in international business education. He highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance academic rigor, industry engagement, research relevance, and international outreach, integrating contemporary global realities into the Institute’s programs and operations.

Founded in 1963, IIFT is a Deemed-to-be University under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The Institute offers MBA programs, executive education, and doctoral research in international trade and business, contributing significantly to India’s growth in global commerce and trade policy.
