The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and elevated spirit of patriotism in Chapslee School. Director of the school, Pronati Singh accompanied by the Principal S. Dogra, staff and the students were present on the occasion.
The celebrations began with hoisting of the National flag. Yash Bhardwaj of Class VIII recited an inspirational poem ‘Aao Aisa Hindustan Banaye’, giving a very imperative message, to make our country a better place to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
Throwing light on the glorious development of India since Independence, Muskaan Chauhan of Class XII delivered an extraordinary speech. The students of Classes XI and XII infused the spirit of patriotism by singing a harmonious song ‘Ae mere watan ke Logon’.
The nationalistic tune by Mohammad Iqbal ‘Saare Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Humara’ was sung marvellously by the teachers of the school. The celebration concluded with distribution of sweets to the students.
