St Thomas Sr Sec School DCM (Primary Wing) Jaipur celebrated India’s 71st Independence Day with vigour, happiness and pride. Rev Father Biju Daniel, Chairman of the School, Secretary Shaji Thomas, Treasurer Y Verghese and Madam Soye Daniel were the guests at the event who were warmly greeted by the School Headmistress Nivedita Doegar.

The programme commenced with the song Vande Mataram by the students of Class I. Classes Nursery and LKG presented a very cute dance on the song India Wale.

St Thomas School JaipurThe National Flag is a symbol of reverence and this was exuded through the poem “Teen Rang Ka Jhanda” by the students of LKG. Children of classes LKG and One had an important message which they conveyed through their dance performance on the song “Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon”.

Class I then recited a passionate hindi rhyme “Aaj Tiranga Phehrata Hai”. Class nursery, next, mesmerised all by dancing on “Hum Chote Bachche Hain”, which was followed by a poem on Hindu Muslim brotherhood by the children of UKG.

St Thomas School JaipurA dance performance on the song “Kandhon Se Milte Hain Kandhe” by UKG and Class I was enough to fill the atmosphere with josh.

The notes of ‘Saare Jahan se Achcha” by UKG and Class I reverberated in the school campus even as the programme concluded with the number “Pappu Can’t Dance Saala” by the students of Class I.
