Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh held a telephonic conversation with UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey to strengthen bilateral defence ties.

The two leaders reviewed the progress in advanced defence technologies, including Electric Propulsion and jet engines, and expressed satisfaction with the recent Statement of Intent on Electric Propulsion.
They also discussed the ongoing programme for military instructor exchanges between India and the UK, which has enhanced training and cooperation between the two nations’ armed forces.
With the UK’s increasing focus on the Indo-Pacific region, both sides agreed to explore opportunities for joint maritime initiatives and enhanced naval engagements in 2025.
This conversation highlights the commitment of both nations to deepening defence collaboration and maintaining momentum in their strategic partnership.
