India Salutes the Sacrifice of Subedar Major Pawan Kumar

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Subedar Major Pawan Kumar of the 25 Punjab Regiment, who lost his life today morning during unprovoked shelling by the Pakistan Army in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hailing from Shahpur Nagar Panchayat, Kangra district, Subedar Major Pawan Kumar laid down his life while defending the nation’s borders. In his condolence message, CM Sukhu said:

“Subedar Major Pawan Kumar made the supreme sacrifice for the unity and sovereignty of the nation. His valour and patriotism will always be remembered.”

The Chief Minister assured that the State Government stands with the bereaved family in this moment of grief and will provide all possible assistance and support to them. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for the family to endure this irreparable loss.
