The inauguration ceremony was attended by several distinguished academicians and officials, including Mehar Chand Negi, Secretary, Indian Institute of Advanced Study; Professor Dhananjay Singh, Member Secretary, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR); Professor Akhilesh Mishra, Chairman, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS); and Dr. Akhilesh Pathak, Public Relations Officer, IIAS.

After inaugurating the stall, Professor Himanshu Kumar Chaturvedi visited the exhibition and lauded the diversity and academic depth of the books and research publications on display. Located in Hall No. 2 and 3, Stall No. Q-12, the IIAS pavilion showcases an extensive collection of research-oriented publications covering history, philosophy, literature, culture, sociology, political science, international studies and contemporary social issues. The stall has emerged as a major attraction for scholars, researchers, teachers, students and serious readers visiting the fair.

Through its participation in the World Book Fair 2026, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study aims to expand the reach of its academic publications, strengthen research culture and further reinforce India’s long-standing tradition of knowledge creation, scholarship and intellectual dialogue. The IIAS stall will remain open to visitors from January 10 to January 18, 2026.
