The Finals of Inter House English Debates were held in Auckland House School for Boys on 22nd March, 2023. The purpose of conducting debates is to develop the analytical and oratory skills in the students. The Judges for the event were Ms. Pallavi Mehta, Ms. Rajni Harrison and Ms. Sukanya Das, English Faculty members from Auckland House School. The first debate of the finals was held between Matthew and French House. French House won the debate and Adhrit Sharma was adjudged as the best speaker.
The second debate was held between Lefroy and Durrant house. Lefroy House won the debate and Samarth Thakur was adjudged as the best speaker. The overall winners of the Inter House English Debate Competition was Lefroy House followed by Durrant, French and Matthew. Adhrit Sharma was adjudged as the Overall Best Speaker. The Judges appreciated the efforts of the students and gave tips to the participants to be better debaters. The winners were given certificates by the judges. The event closed with the National Anthem.
