Curzon House Wins All — Proficiency Cup; Challenge Cup and the Obstacle Finals for the year 2015!!!
The inter-house obstacle finals were held in Bishop Cotton School, Shimla here today as the headmaster of the school R C Robinson presided as the chief guest for the occasion. The students were filled with enthusiasm to participate in the event and represent their house teams. The winning house teams will be rewarded at the end of the academic year for their achievements. During this competition many challenging activities such as the Burma bridge, monkey crawl, 12 feet wall climbing, nets crawling and Tarzan swings were part of the obstacle course.
Inter-house competitions in sports are a very crucial part of the school’s curriculum. They give an opportunity to all boys in the school to participate and learn from their experiences. The school firmly believes in the famous saying ‘All work no play makes jack a dull boy’ and encourages the students to actively participate in all kinds of sports to stay active, fit and disciplined. During these sporting events, students give in their best and eye for the overall achievement titles awarded to the best performer in sports every year.
The results of the competition were as follows:
D Division (Under 12years) — Lefroy stood 3rd, Curzon 2nd and Ibbetson came 1st.
C Division (12-14 years) — Curzon bagged 3rd position, Rivaz 2nd and Ibbetson came 1st.
B Division (14-16 years) — Ibbetson came 3rd, Curzon 2nd and Rivaz 1st.
A Division (Above 16 years) — Ibbetson came 3rd, Rivaz came 2nd and Curzon came 1st.
