Inter School Competition at Auckland School — Sesquicentennial Celebrations Begin

The Sesquicentennial Celebration Inter School Competitions began in Auckland House Girls School today as Mehendi, Photography, Slogan Writing and Nukkad Natak competitions were held in the school campus. The judges for the Nukkad Natak were renowned radio, theatre actors Bhupinder Sharma and Sanjay Sood. Mehendi, Photography and Slogan Writing Competitions were judged by noted academicians Nandini Pathania and Anuja Sharma, from St. Bede’s College faculty.

Auck.4.5.16bTen schools participated in the Mehendi Competition. The first, second and third prizes were bagged by Monal Public School, D.A.V. New Shimla and D.A.V. Lakkar Bazar, respectively.

In the Photography Competition, the first prize was secured by D.A.V. Lakkar Bazar, second prize by Chapslee School and the third prize was bagged by Monal Public School.

The Slogan Writing Competition was held in two categories. In category A, Auckland House School bagged the first prize, the second prize went to E.C.I. Chalet Day School and the third prize was won by Monal Public School.

In category B, the first prize went to Chapslee School, second to St. Edward’s School and the third to Auckland House School.

Twelve schools participated in the Nukkad Natak competition.The first prize was bagged by Auckland House School, second and third places were taken by the Convent of Jesus & Mary and St. Thomas’ School respectively.

The judges appreciated the efforts of the participants as the day’s celebrations came to an end with the auditorium reverberating with applause of the participants and the audience.
