Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the final cultural evening of the International Kullu Dussehra 2024 as the chief guest on late Friday evening and extended his best wishes to everyone for the festival.
He stated that since last year, the Kullu Dussehra fair has truly achieved international flavour. The Chief Minister also said that an Ambassador Meet was organized during the fair, congratulating Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur and MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur for their efforts in this regard.
On the final day of the cultural night, playback singer Neeraj Shridhar was the star performer. Artists from Uzbekistan also mesmerized the audience with their captivating performances. Additionally, a cultural fusion-based performance was highly appreciated by the public. Earlier, the Chief Minister formally started the traditional Kullu folk dance ‘Lalri’ by performing the ritualistic prayers and participating in the dance.
He also inspected the developmental exhibitions at Dhalpur Ground. Sukhu said “Himachal Pradesh is the land of gods and goddesses, and it is the collective responsibility of both the state government and the people to preserve the region’s rich divine culture. The ‘Lalri’ dance is a symbol of the state’s vibrant culture, where entire families come together to perform.”
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur, MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur, District Congress President Ses Ram Azad, Congress leaders Buddhi Singh Thakur, Vijay Pal Singh, Vice Chairman of HPSIDC Vishal Chambial, Chairman of APMC Mandi Sanjeev Guleria, Coordinator Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Corporation Atul Kadohta, Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
