A bright and sunny morning for students of Dayanand Public School as they were in the school premises at seven in the morning to participate in the Historic International Yoga Day celebrations. School Principal Anupam said that in today’s fast changing times Yoga is an important part of our lives and if children are taught the benefits of Yoga at young age they can reap its benefits throughout their lives. We should encourage our children and our family members to adopt a healthy way of living by daily practicing Yoga exercises.
During the regime the students performed Yoga exercises such as taad aasan, surya namaskar, greeva chakra, trikon aasan, dand aasan, shav aasan among various other aasans. Under the supervision and able-guidance of Acharya Ved Prakash the students performed each and every aasan and he also taught the students the benefits of each aasan. School teachers Kumud Monga, Mohna Sharma, Anupama Walia, Leena Sharma, Nishi Chauhan, Ranjana Sharda, Seema Kanwar were also present on the occasion and participated in the event.
