In a significant community outreach initiative, the 29th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) conducted a free medical camp at the COB premises in Dhanora, Narayanpur district, Chhattisgarh, as part of the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan.” The camp aimed to enhance healthcare access for rural women and local residents while fostering stronger bonds between the ITBP and the community.
Around 150 women, 50 men, 20 children, and numerous villagers participated in the event alongside ITBP personnel. Medical services were provided by ITBP Senior Medical Officer Dr. Deepak Thakur, Dr. Avinash Shakhrdande from the Primary Health Centre Dhanora, and their dedicated team. Attendees received health check-ups and essential medical advice throughout the camp.
The camp also featured special awareness sessions focused on women’s hygiene, balanced nutrition, and protection against seasonal illnesses. Additionally, villagers were sensitized about the importance of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” (Drug-Free India Campaign).
The presence of ITBP members, local villagers, and public representatives highlighted the collaborative spirit of the event. This initiative underscores ITBP’s commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian values while strengthening the trust and cooperation between the force and the local community.
