Auckland House School for Girls, Shimla, hosted its Junior Section Annual Day with great fervor, celebrating the creativity and cultural spirit of its youngest learners. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across Nursery to Form II, who lit up the stage with colorful performances.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Oshin Sharma, HPAS, SDM Shimla Urban, commended the children for their confidence and creativity, and applauded the staff for nurturing such talent.
The event opened on a serene note with a heartfelt rendition of the hymn “Here I Am to Worship” by Form I students. This was followed by a delightful musical play, “The Toy Shop”, brought to life by Form II students, which captured the imagination of the audience.
A diverse lineup of performances followed, showcasing India’s cultural richness and the students’ budding talents. From action songs like “Kookaburra” and “I’m So Happy” to energetic dances such as “Aya Wo Lalariya,” “Punjabi Dance,” “Gujarati Dance,” and “Rajasthani Dance,” each act was met with applause and admiration. Skits and thematic presentations like “Golden Melodies”, “My Bestie,” and “Chun Chun Karti Aayi Chidiya” further added vibrancy to the celebration.
The Annual Report was presented by School Principal, Smaraki Samantaroy, highlighting the Junior Section’s achievements over the academic year, including academic progress and co-curricular milestones.
The program concluded with the National Anthem, evoking a sense of unity and pride among all present. Parents, guests, and staff appreciated the meticulously organized event and praised the students for their spirited performances.
