Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday dedicated and launched development projects worth ₹51.10 crore during his one-day visit to the Kasumpti Assembly Constituency in Shimla district.
At Dharech and Cheog, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 15 projects, primarily focused on strengthening road connectivity and rural infrastructure.
Major road projects include Fagu–Dharech road (₹15.23 crore), Dharech–Chatog via Manda road (₹7.85 crore), and Darn–Jubbar road (₹4.81 crore). Other key projects include Kheti Jubbar–Khadrarav road, Fagu–Saryu road, Bangapani–Chadail road, Cheog–Jathai road, and Dhaleu–Janu Nala road.
Additional works such as Nhog–Kaneshi road, Dhaleu–Dhar road, and Kyanala–Sarog road were also included, along with smaller connectivity projects like Cheog Bazaar–Mehna village road and Talai-Dehna–Karyal village road.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a Community Centre and Panchayat Ghar to enhance local civic infrastructure.
During the visit, he inaugurated the Cheog Bypass Road, constructed at a cost of ₹2.85 crore, aimed at easing traffic movement in the area.
