What started as a simple Inter-School Storytelling Competition went a step further as the winners of the competition got an opportunity to narrate their stories in front of young talented poets and writers of Himachal at Gaiety Theatre here today. The Academy of Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh organized a young poetry recitation and story narration session to celebrate the love for literature and native language.

During the event a number of young poets from college and universities recited their poems and shared their views on different topics. Our young storytellers too gave impressive performances and won accolades from the doyens of the literary world. Few of the winners who got this amazing opportunity to narrate their stories were: Amiti Verma Tara Hall (English); Anvita Sharma Saraswati Paradise (English); Dhruv Chauhan Blue Bells (Hindi); Kumud Shridhar Auckland House Girls (Hindi); Ojas St Thomas (Hindi); Sarah Dangwal Chapslee (English) and Anvesha Sharma Tara Hall (Hindi). It was also an enriching experience for them as they listen to some amazing poetry which left a lasting impression on these children. As a special gesture and encouragement the children were appreciated by all and awarded with cash prize.
