Knowledge is No Rich Man’s Inheritance – Parmod Chauhan

Students of Government Senior Secondary School Phagli celebrated their annual day in the school here today. During the event Joint Director Higher Education Parmod Chahuhan and Deputy Director Batta graced the occasion as the Chief Guests. The day started with a science exhibition where students presented their vast knowledge on various subjects and laws of science and its working in form of models like cross pollination, photosynthesis, solid waste segregation, poly houses, ecotoilets, water wheel, solar automatic irrigation system, total surface area, saliva activity, lung cancer to name a few.

The working model of washing machine attached with a bicycle gave message of health as well as to save energy won the heart of all. Students also presented a report on ill effects of junk food and importance of having a nutritious diet.

Children also presented a wonderful cultural programme where they danced to the tunes of Pahari Natti, Nepali song and a power packed song performance was also staged by the students.

Speaking on the occasion School Principal Rama Chauhan Reikta presented the annual report in which she highlighted the achievements of the students and also appreciated the fact that they compete with children of various schools that have better facilities and exposure, yet they manage to make their presence felt.

Chief guest Parmod said that he was pleased to see the hard work of children and they have proved that knowledge is no rich man’s inheritance. He wished them all the best for future. He was pleased with the working science exhibition models and said that it was amazing to see the clarity of concepts among the students.

Students were awarded for their outstanding performances throughout the year.
