AHGSLefroy24417-(21)bStudents of Auchkland House Girls School were entertained by the students of Lefroy House as they performed during their House Day Celebrations in the school premises. During the event Principal Sunita John and Auckland Boys School Principal, Michael A John were present who thoroughly enjoyed the programme presented by the students.

Speaking on the occasion School Principal said that it was a great pleasure to see the students perform so well considering the short time they had. They all have put their best foot forward and their efforts had been fully rewarded as the show turned out to be a grand success.

The students began the cultural programme which included dance items, an English Play, a Hindi Skit, few lively numbers and a scintillating band performance.

AHGSLefroy24417 (3)The dance performance of Shiv Stotram announced the opening of the fun paced performances enstored for all. The vibrations of the Shiva added new energy to the ambience that lifted the spirits of all.

Then came a performance for all to laugh and enjoy as the students enacted the lyrics of songs with funny actions ranging from era of 80’s to late 90’s.

AHGSLefroy24417 (9)A comic English play entertained all, wherein a family was filled with new dreams and aspirations for a new life after inheriting riches from their old father who was assumed dead by all. While all made plans, the old man rises from his deep sleep and announces his plans to get married once again to another woman.

The Hindi skit was another comic performance where significance of spending time with family, resting and relaxing was stressed as in current times people are always running after money and hence they often ignore Sunday. They work hard on it too and hence lose their personal relationships and destroy their health as well.

Various dances like Nati, Arabic, Punjabi were also performed and students enjoyed them to the max. A small skit item was performed where the message of compassion was delivered when a lame girl gifts a pair of new shoes to a courier guy who is always complaining about his torn shoes.

The soothing song performances by the students won hearts of all. Finally the day ended with the band performance which was full of energy.
