Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. The sole objective of Krishna’s birth was to free the Earth from the evils of demons. Students of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Mohali, celebrated Janmashtami with devotional songs, puja, arti, blowing of the conch and rocking the cradle of baby Krishna. Students of Classes Nursery and Kindergarten were dressed in the attire of Krishna and Radha ass they danced on devotional songs.
School Principal Namita Lal said that the entire school participated in the puja. At the end, prasad (makhan-mishri) was distributed among the students and teachers.
