GuruHariSc.24.8 (6)It was a day of festivity at Sri Guru Harkishan Public School, Bus Stand when tiny tots came dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha to celebrate Janamashtmi with the school staff. Parents had taken care of the minutest details in dressing up their wards and needless to say all the little ones looked their ever best. While Sarthak and Ashutosh looked cute as little Krishna, Dhaniya, Yashvi and Kaireen enthralled all in the attire of Radha.

Principal, Gurpreet Kaur Thukral, believes that the present generation of children are very smart and inquisitive. Therefore, the school ensures that they are made aware of every little festival that happens to be. Janamashtmi is also celebrated by the school every year keeping this in mind.

The children were told the story of the birth of Lord Krishna and some of His life events using models and pictorial representations. The children, later, danced and had a feast to mark the occasion. The Principal, further reiterated that such events broaden the horizon and children understand the essence of celebrating in unison.
