The Sports Shield was awarded to Matthew House, the Marching Cup to Durrant House. The second position was bagged by Lefroy House followed by French and Durrant House. The Proficiency Cup was awarded to Lefroy House.
Girls of Auckland House School exhibited excellent health and fitness during the Middle Section Sports Day held here today in the school premises for the students of Forms III to VI. Dr. Mita Biswas, Retired Professor of English, ICDEOL, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, graced the occasion with her esteemed presence. While speaking on the occasion she said, “It gives me immense pleasure to be part of the event. The lovely PT display by students made my morning not only good but one of the best. It was an amazing show and I wish the students all the best for future”.
She also stressed that girls are not equal to boys but are far and much better than them and hence they should give up the very idea of comparison. Being a woman is one of the finest blessings that God has bestowed.
The events comprised of a March Past performed by the students of Form III to VI followed by a P.T. Display with umbrellas by Form V, Yoga by Form IV, Aerobics by Form VI and a P.T. display with balls by Form III.
Students also displayed their skills at Karate, followed by different forms of gymnastics, and finally the track events were held including Obstacle Race (Group D), Baton Relay (Group C), Baton Relay (Group D), 50 meters Skipping (Group C) and 50 meters Sack Race (Group D). There were guest races organized for the parents as well.

Baton Relay Group C – Matthew House first, Lefroy House second and French House third; Group D – Matthew House, French House and Durrant.
50 Mts. Obstacle Race Group C – Nishita Thakur, Sakshi, Neha Kumari.
50 Mts. Shuttle Run Group D – Kendra Pathania, Devanshi Verma, Gargi Thakur.
50 Mts. Skipping Race Group C – Soshimla, Priyal Sood, Neha Kumari.
50 Mts. Sack Race Group D – Devansi Verma, Jyoti, Kendra Pathania.
One Leg Relay Group C – Matthew House first, French House second.
One Leg Relay Group D – Lefroy House first, Matthew House second, Durrant House third.
Skipping Relay Group C – Lefroy House first, Matthew House second, Durrant House third.
Ball Relay Group D – Lefroy House first, Matthew House second, Durrant House third.
Skating Race Form III – Mannatreet Kaur, Tenzin Choesan, Sashrika Bajaj.
Skating Race Form V – Soshimla, Sweeni Kamra, Ridhi Sood.
Skating Race Form VI – Momoko Chaya, Alya Ghezta, Aprajit Manta.
Musical Chair – Manya Kashyap, Soshimla.
Best Gymnast Prize – Ridhi Bhargav.
Karate – Ridham Sharma, Mehika Sharma, Aksha.
A vote of thanks was proposed by Director Principal Sunita John, and lauded collective efforts of students, teachers and parents. She said that it very encouraging for students to see their parents taking interest in their day to day life and activates. Children feel positive in life when parents take out time and witness their achievements and efforts. She requested parents to always stand by their wards and take time out for them always.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem!!!
