Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania and MLA Ajay Solanki in a joint press statement issued here today said that the year 2024 has been historic and full of achievements under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. They said that the state government is continuously moving forward in the direction of making a self-reliant and prosperous state. With this goal, public welfare policies and schemes are being implemented by the government.

The Chief Minister has implemented many ambitious schemes and programs to strengthen the rural economy so that the economy of the people of the villages can be strengthened, they added. They said that the state government is purchasing cow milk at the rate of Rs 45 and buffalo milk at the rate of Rs 55. A milk processing plant is being set up with state-of-the-art technology at a cost of Rs 300 crore in Dhagwar in district Kangra. They said that maize produced through natural farming is being purchased at the rate of Rs 30 and wheat at Rs 40 per kg.

MNREGA wages have been hiked from Rs 60 to Rs 300. HP Shiva project worth Rs 1,292 crore is also being implemented for orchardists. They said that water sports activities have been started in Gobindsagar, which is providing employment avenues to the youths. The state government has accorded permission to start water sports in Pong Dam and soon water sports activities will start. They said that the state government is making endeavours to develop Kangra as a tourism capital.

They said that the state government has taken several initiatives to make the state a green energy state, which have brought positive results. The government is also working firmly towards ensuring inclusive development of every sector and every section of the society. They said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Pradesh will become self-reliant by 2027 and emerge as the most prosperous state of the country by 2032.
