St.Thomas’ School, Shimla, bubbled up with activity when students of Classes III to V celebrated their Annual Day. The chief guest for the occasion was Sidharth Chauhan, an eminent writer and director, who was warmly greeted by School Principal Vidhupriya Charkarvarty and school staff. The programme began with lighting of lamp and invoking the blessings of Lord Almighty. Principal Chakravarty addressed the gathering stating the importance of such programmes which help the students learn a variety of things beyond classroom. Meritorious students in academics and extra- curricular activities were felicitated.
A heartwarming musical play titled ‘Thumbelina’ was performed by the students depicting the theme of ‘kindness’. The most memorable moments of the function were marked by the precious words of advice and appreciation by the chief guest during an address to the parents.
The celebrations concluded on a happy note encouraging the students to establish further milestones in the journey of happiness.
