The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through the Mera Yuva Bharat platform, continued the second phase of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme across colleges in the national capital on March 10, 2026, aiming to strengthen youth engagement with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The initiative seeks to connect more than 10,000 students across over 35 colleges in Delhi through interactive sessions, discussions and youth-led activities focused on nation-building.
On the second day of the outreach programme, youth icons including Ramandeep Singh, Lavisha Arora, Sneha Bhardwaj, Ankit Kumar and Sakshi Shah conducted interactive sessions at several institutions including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College and Maharishi Valmiki College of Education. The sessions saw enthusiastic participation from more than 900 students, reflecting growing interest among young people to contribute actively to India’s development journey.
During the interactions, youth icons shared their experiences from various national initiatives and encouraged students to share ideas and perspectives on leadership, governance and development. The programme also featured “Yuva Samvad” discussions, where students engaged in dialogue on nation-building and the role of youth in shaping a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
In addition, awareness and registration drives for the MY Bharat platform were organised at participating institutions to encourage students to join volunteer-based initiatives and contribute to national development. The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme aims to provide a platform for young citizens to express their ideas and participate in the country’s development process through the spirit of public participation and youth leadership.
