NCPCR Panel Redresses Grievances of Children during Camp in Moga

With an aim to redress the grievances of the children of 0 to 18 years of age, a panel from National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) held a camp at District Administrative Complex (DAC).

A six-member bench comprising Members NCPCR Dr RG Anand and Rosy Tabba, Deputy Commissioner Moga Sandeep Hans, Superintendent of Police (SSP) Moga Amarjit Singh Bajwa, Chairman Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (PSCPCR) Rajinder Singh and Secretary PSCPCR Amandeep Kaur redressed as many as 238 representations received during the camp.

Divulging the details, Dr RG Anand said that during the camp they have received most of the complaints regarding the social security, education, health and infrastructure of which many of the complaints were resolved on the spot while they have directed concerned officials to solve the remaining complaints at the earliest.

While addressing the press conference, NCPCR Members Dr RG Anand and Rosy Tabba jointly said that the panel has been doing all the efforts to aware the children about their rights and they will continue to hold such camps across the country to hear grievances of the children and resolve them.

Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans informed the media that following improvements in Education, Health, Agriculture, Infrastructure and Water Supply and Sanitation sectors in the district, the NITI Aayog has sanctioned the grant of Rs 3 crores for the development of the district.

He also assured the members of the NCPCR to resolve all the complaints at the earliest. Meanwhile, the team from NCPCR comprising Sundeep Rathee, Zohra Zaman, Payal Sharma and Anshu Kumari were here in Moga from last three days and during their stay they have visited various schools in district, Government Hospital, Anganwadis, One Stop Centre etc .
