NDTL 2025: How India is Strengthening Its Anti-Doping Measures

The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) Annual Conference 2025 was inaugurated by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi. Themed “Anti-Doping Science: Innovations and Challenges”, the event brought together key stakeholders from the sports and scientific communities. The conference was attended by Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Secretary (Sports), Joint Secretary (Sports), and the Director of NDTL.

Government’s Commitment to Clean Sports

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya reaffirmed the Government of India’s dedication to ensuring fair competition in sports. He emphasized the need for early education on doping by incorporating it into school curricula and launching awareness campaigns, particularly in rural areas. Highlighting the role of sports federations, he urged greater involvement to educate athletes about anti-doping regulations. He also underscored the importance of advanced research and technology in anti-doping science to safeguard athletes’ careers and maintain the credibility of sports events.
