Tokyo Paralympics’ silver medal winner Nishad Kumar of district Una along with his family and coach Naseem Ahmed called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today.

On this occasion, Chief Minister congratulated Nishad Kumar for bringing pride to the state. Chief Minister honoured Nishad Kumar and gave him best wishes for future championship.

Chief Minister said the state government would provide him every possible assistance and support. He said that the state government is making every possible effort to promote sports in the state and laying emphasis on strengthening of sports infrastructure.

 Nishad Kumar apprised Chief Minister of various preparations regarding paralympics and sports.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu, Sports and Youth Services Secretary S.S. Guleria and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
