At Keekli Charitable Trust, we are passionate about giving young creators the opportunity to share their voice. Through our annual project Little Feet, Big Strides, we aim to empower young writers by providing them a platform to showcase their talent. This writing competition is designed for budding authors and storytellers, encouraging them to dream big and put pen to paper.
As Maya Angelou wisely said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Keekli Charitable Trust invites young writers under 20 years old, exclusively school and college students, to participate in the Pan-India Short Story Writing Competition 2025. This is your chance to let your imagination soar and become a published author!

Competition Details
Eligibility
- Open to youth under 20 years old.
- Exclusively for school and college students across India.
Submission Period
- 1st February to 31st March, 2025.
Word Limit
- Stories must be between 1,000 to 2,000 words.
Accepted Languages
- Submissions are welcome in both English and Hindi.
Themes
- Open theme or stories based on:
- Folklore
- Monuments
- Historic elements of your state or city
Submission Guidelines
- Format:
- Neatly typed stories must be emailed to secy.keeklitrust@gmail.com.
- Details to Include:
- Your class, school/college, city, and phone number.
- Original Work Only:
- Strict no AI usage policy for creative writing.
- Stories will be screened for originality; violations will lead to rejection and future disqualification.
- Plagiarized content will be disqualified without explanation.
- Inspired Works:
- If inspired by another story or poem, clearly mention it in your cover letter.
- Genres Accepted:
- Fiction
- Non-Fiction (Memoirs, Travelogues, Creative Non-Fiction) in form of stories only.
