Students of Swarn Public School, Tutikandi, celebrated their annual sports day here today at Tutikandi. The event was scheduled for two days that is on May 17 and 18, 2018, where first session comprising of Senior Class students was held at Jungli Ground whereas the second session was held in the school premises itself.
During the event, ward councilor Anand Kaushal was present as the Chief Guest who appreciated the hard work and team efforts put in by the school staff and teachers collectively. He informed everyone present on the occasion that funds have been sanctioned for building up a stadium in Jungli ground where the sports day was held and hopefully by next year students will have more facilities to make their event even more energetic and fun filled.
Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Seema Mehta laid emphasis on parents’ time devotion towards their children. She said that it is important that parents become part of their child’s daily activity and especially on such occasion when they are supposed to perform in front of others. This is the time when the child needs parents’ support the most.
Both days were filled with lots of fun and hard work as students participated in various games like Basket Ball, Kabaddi, Badminton, Boxing and Golf, on one hand whereas on the other a number of races like Balloon Blast, Hoping with Ring Pass, Relay Three Leg, Coin, Ready To School, Youth Soccer, Bangle and Obstacle, to name a few were conducted in which students from various classes participated and showed their true sportsman spirit.
The main attraction for the day was long jump, boxing, kabaddi and badminton matches, which were enjoyed by the spectators. All these games proved the saying “no pain no gain” true as no child was irritated or restless and with a smile kept striving to make their mark in the game field. Considering the amount of energy floating in the air every child felt like a winner and had a great time as they all placed their best foot forward. (See Videos)
