Painting hobby classes organized by the Department of Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh concluded with a bang as the students exhibited their talented and colourful paintings and sketches made during the period of nearly one month.
Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Attri, art teacher for the classes, said that it was an immense pleasure to train and guide the young and creative minds. There is so much potential in the young ones as they are not touched by the cruel world’s foul play and hence when it comes down to putting their thoughts on paper the results are always amazing and fascinating.
In the exhibition nearly 500 sketches and paintings were showcased. Students had learned well to use the different medium to paint including crayons, pencil colours, pencil shades and water colours.
Children got an opportunity to paint on various themes — animals, landscapes, portraits and basic shading concept too was made clear to them by their teacher, as talking about his experience Tanishq, one of the students said, “It was a nice experiment. I not only got a chance to paint my imagination but also managed to learn things about life. Making friends outside school and definitely colouring was the best part. Joy of painting doubles when imaginations of two people come into play and hence I feel it was a well spent time for me.”
