Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed that social security pensions for all eligible individuals must continue without interruption. Presiding over a meeting of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, he instructed officials to complete all formalities for pending beneficiaries to ensure that no deserving individual is deprived of their rights. So far, e-KYC of 7,60,772 beneficiaries has been completed, and the Chief Minister emphasized that all eligible persons must be covered without exception.

The CM also reviewed the Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna, under which 4,131 children are currently receiving benefits. He stressed the need for regular exposure and recreational visits for these children and sought reports from districts that have not yet conducted such tours.

He assured that there was no shortage of funds and reiterated that every eligible individual will receive their entitlements. The government has allowed the use of 10% of the Local Area Development Fund for the welfare of orphan children.

Additionally, the Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojna has been introduced to support children of widows, destitute or divorced women, and parents with disabilities. Currently, 21,588 beneficiaries are covered under the scheme, including 20,735 children under 18 years, with an allocation of Rs. 31.01 crore for its implementation.
