Plantation Drive to Mark Kargil Divas

undertook a tree plantation drive, thus, highlighting the importance of a green environment and conservation of the natural resources, it was especially done on this day to mark the Kargil Divas 26/7. The forest area behind the Cancer Hospital was selected to plant deodar and evergreens as was also recommended by the Forest Dept.

It was a joint effort by the two club as members present were President Rotarian Padam Sud, Secretary Kamal Butail and Innerwheel Club Shimla President Vandana Sud along with Geetika Sood, Meenu Sood, Meenakshi Kuthiala among many others. Keeping in mind social distancing due to the ongoing pandemic, social distancing was maintained as only few members were present, while others planted ornamental and fruit bearing trees in their home gardens. Other activities undertaken during the day were cleaning of the parks and beautification of their respective area by the member.
