Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur urged the representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions to make continuous efforts to ensure that the schemes and programmes of state government reach upto grassroot level. He said this while addressing a Pride of Himachal Webinar organised by an institution on the occasion of International Women’s Day. As many as 429 women pradhan of Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur district participated in the function along with women who have excelled in various sectors and brought laurels to the state. Chief Minister said that the PRI’s along with spreading awareness regarding various programmes and policies of the state government should also bring positive change in the society. Jai Ram Thakur said that women are actively ensuring equal participation in execution of responsibility in every sector in the state.
Government was implementing several flagship schemes for empowerment of women. To ensure overall development of women and to provide opportunity for their growth, the government has made many innovative initiatives in the Budget 2022-23. He also detailed about various schemes of Centre Government for upliftment of women. Organiser of webinar Akshay Verma welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed about the programme.
