Regional Director of the Reserve Bank of India, Shimla, Anupam Kishore, called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan.
The Governor congratulated RBI on its 90th year of exemplary service to the nation and stated that the commitment of RBI towards furthering the national goals towards development in the banking sector and taking initiatives on financial literacy and inclusion drives in the State was commendable.
In his courtesy call, he discussed developments in the banking sector and important initiatives in the realm of financial literacy and inclusion for the State of Himachal Pradesh with the Governor. The Regional Director apprised the Governor about Commemoration of Reserve Bank of India’s 90th year and re-dedication of the bank to the cause of financial stability and economic growth of the country.
He also provided an overview of the various initiatives undertaken by the RBI to promote financial literacy and inclusion among the residents of Himachal Pradesh. He also highlighted the latest developments in the banking space and how they were impacting the region.
