Registration deadline extended for Green Olympiad 2024

The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) has extended the registration deadline, to September 10, 2024, of the GREEN Olympiad 2024, an annual examination (MCQ) that aims to engage students in learning about our environment, fostering a sense of stewardship, and promoting eco-consciousness. This initiative is organised with endorsement from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The Green Olympiad will take place either on 22 October or 20 November 2024. School will decide on one of these dates depending upon the school’s academic calendar. The examination will be conducted offline, within the school premises. All students from classes 4 to 12 are eligible to participate.

This examination aims to test the environmental quotient of students and enhance their understanding of issues related to environment and sustainable development. The examination will be organised in English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Oriya, Tamil, and Assamese.

TERI has thoughtfully curated a Resource Booklet, comprising of range of topics in the environment and sustainable development domains, covering thematic issues, challenges, and solutions thereof, along with model question papers, to aid students in their preparation.
