Revenue and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi today held separate meetings addressing critical concerns of hydropower project representatives and the Himachal Pradesh DC’s Office Employees Union.
In the first meeting, the Minister discussed land revenue matters with hydropower project developers. He listened to their suggestions and noted that the State Government has recently completed a special assessment of land revenue. Stakeholders’ feedback has been invited, after which a final decision will be taken. Additional Chief Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pant, Director of Energy Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Settlement Officer Shimla Division Kumud Singh, and Additional Secretary Revenue Anil Kumar were among the attendees.
Later, a delegation of the HP DC’s Office Employees Union, led by President Lokender Chauhan, met the Minister to raise demands related to recruitment and promotion rules for Naib Tehsildars, Superintendents, and Patwaris, as well as the creation of essential posts in tehsils. Jagat Singh Negi stressed the importance of public service and directed revenue staff to ensure efficiency and discipline. He assured that genuine demands would be addressed sympathetically and in a time-bound manner. Senior revenue officials were also present during the meeting.
