The State Government is taking significant strides toward bridging the gap between education and employment by modernising technical training and aligning youth with global industry standards. In an era driven by Artificial Intelligence and rapid technological evolution, the state is prioritizing practical experience, digital proficiency, and hands-on exposure. Central to this strategy is the Department of Technical Education’s Takniki Rozgar Setu Portal, a unified digital platform connecting students, academic institutions, and employers. Through this portal, candidates can create detailed profiles, display their credentials, apply for jobs, and monitor their recruitment status in real time. The portal has already onboarded 26,168 students, 164 technical institutions—comprising 136 ITIs, 18 polytechnics, 5 engineering colleges, and 5 pharmacy institutes—and 97 registered employers. To ensure precise job matching, 23,054 students have completed comprehensive skill mapping, helping identify training needs and career pathways. The platform also serves certified local tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, by connecting them with short-term gig and contract work. By enabling recruiters to evaluate profiles directly and report successful hires, the platform enhances transparency and simplifies hiring for industries across the region.
To broaden students’ horizons beyond traditional classroom learning, the government has introduced international exposure tours. Recently, a delegation of 30 ITI trainees visited Almaty, Kazakhstan, inspecting operations at bottling plants, food manufacturing facilities, and trade markets to observe foreign workplace standards. Concurrently, 44 top-performing B.Tech students toured technology centers in Japan, gaining direct insights into robotics, space research, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing at premier facilities including the JAXA Tsukuba Space Center, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Cyberdyne Robotics Studio.
Complementing digital tools and global training, the state has allocated Rs 35.34 crore to upgrade physical infrastructure across polytechnics, engineering colleges, and ITIs statewide. Alongside hardware improvements, increased focus is being placed on soft skills, startup acceleration, and vocational entrepreneurship. Together, these unified efforts in infrastructure development, digital recruitment, and international learning are building a resilient, future-ready workforce for the state’s expanding industrial landscape.
